Ecovillages: Beyond Stereotypes - Agriculture & Ecology

Agriculture & Ecology; is the second theme of the Ecovillages: Beyond stereotypes series. At this even we focus specifically on the question of environmentally sustainable food production in an eco-community context with questions such as: Is it possible to grow your own food for a community, what are the scale limitations etc?; Do such food growing initiatives contribute to the resilience of a community and the environment in proximity to the community?

Organised by Stichting Otherwise Wageningen
Date

Thu 30 March 2017 19:30 to 21:00

Some eco-communities have gone far to experiment with sustainability with regards to their food production. We also know that eco-communities sometimes have more possibilities to organize their consumption behavior collectively. At this event we will explore what kind of endeavors have been made in the eco-community sphere to make food consumption and production more resilient and sustainable.

If the program proves succesful we will continue to facilitate more activities that focus on eco communities and transition to a more sustainable society!

This will be the second of six events in which Otherwise will be exploring the theme of Eco-communities in relation to social innovation and environmental resilience.

The event will take place in THUIS, Stationsstraat 32 Wageningen and will take place in English!
