iWEEK 2019 "Wild Wisdom: A Journey in (re)Connection" - deadline 31st May!

Organised by Stichting Otherwise Wageningen
Date

Sat 6 July 2019 12:00 until Sun 14 July 2019 15:00

The iWEEK is our summer school inviting students and recent graduates between 18 and 32 to an interactive, residential full-week experience to explore inner sustainability and leadership in the context of major societal and environmental challenges of our time.

The dates have been decided for the upcoming iWEEK summer school edition. We invite you to join us on an adventurous (inner) journey from 6 to 14 July 2019!

This training will be an experimental playground for innovation, interaction and intuition, during which you are introduced to various nature- and community based practices which can shape new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.

Issues of sustainability are often approached from a technological point of view, especially in Wageningen. However, other voices are growing stronger, raising the issue that the current global crisis is a spiritual one more than anything else. In the end it is our understanding of life that determines how we act and relate to each other or the environment (for more, check links below).

In this week we will take a journey in 'Connection' and compassion to ourselves and our inner wisdom, to others and to the world and the nature around us. What is Connection? What does it mean ‘to be connected’? Why is it important? How do we know when we are connected, and how do we know when we are not? What keeps us from connecting, and what can we do when we do not feel connected? We will question and experience through embodied exercises what this all means to us and what it could mean to the world.

At OtherWise Wageningen, we believe that in order to build a sustainable world, we need to (re-) connect to the web of life: to ourselves, to others and to the nature around us. When we truly connect rather than to separate ourselves, we feel empathy, and from empathy comes the willingness to support and take action that is in line with life, nurturing growth rather than destruction.
