Review - Theatre as a Rehearsal for Revolution

Published on
May 2, 2019

In this lecture Suzanne Prak took us on a yourney through the live of Augusto Boal and the legacy he created. Once created out revolutionary work with peasants in Brasil, his Theatre of the Oppressed method is now used all over the world for social and political activism, conflict resolution, community building, therapy and government legislation and address power issues. We enjoyed the lecture Suzanne Prak gave, as she is a keen storyteller and we learned much from her experience with forum theatre. The audience was also shaken up because there was also a short theatre play during the evening. If you are interested in forum theatre, find inspringtheatre on Facebook and attend one of the Jump-in Sessions! The first Jump-in Session is on the 16th of May.
