Would you like to learn more about how multinational corporations can be held accountable for their actions by using law, and about what you can do yourself? Come to the lecture on Corporate Accountability, organized by Milieudefensie, Otherwise and JMA (the youth organisation of Milieudefensie) which will provide you with action perspectives.

Currently, multinationals merely enjoy rights and there are no international binding rules regarding human rights and the environment. Therefore it is imperative to find ways in which we can hold multinational corporations accountable if they violate human rights by, for instance, providing wages below poverty lines or harm the environment by continuing to drill fossil fuels despite of the Paris Agreement.

We organize a lecture to inform you about the possibilities we have to hold multinational corporations accountable for their malpractices by using law. Thereby we will rely on practical experiences and campaigns from Milieudefensie. Furthermore, there will be room for discussion and an interactive session wherein we will jointly discover the possibilities for you to become locally active against corporate power.

The exact program will be posted here soon.
