The OtherWays program is developed to give students the opportunity to organize events that deal with topics of their own interests. Otherwise invites students do work together with Otherwise to organize activities around social and environmental justice agendas. Like this Otherwise aims to help students to find a place where they can get active with ideals of their own!
Would you like to organize an event and you are looking for help? A stage perhaps?
Maybe there is an issue you are really passionate about or you would like to share the story of your thesis research or internship. Maybe there is an initiative that you have been involved with for a while that you would like to promote in Wageningen.
In any case, we want to help you! Otherwise stands for collaboration with students. We organize discussions, lectures, movie nights, trips and workshops and whatever else YOU can come up with!
We are involved in a wide range of topics such as social justice, environmental justice and grassroots movements and initiatives and so on.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can start on your ideas together!
Arta, with whom we set up the 'Stories. The Urge To Tell' program has the following to say about how our cooperation started:
My connection with st. Otherwise was born in November 2016 when together with Jurre Zwart (coordinator of the foundation) we gave light to the project “Stories. The Urge to Tell”. Our intention is to create a space where colllective reflection can take place, can be explored and where stories can be told. This connects in a beautiful and organic way with the philosophy of Otherwise: to, from a positive mindset, create and facilitate platforms for change and resistance. That is why, and how, I feel greatfully connected to this little island of willpower and its inhabitants that Otherwise is.
