Herenboeren Excursion
In Boxtel a group of dedicated citizens embraced the idea that it should be possible to collectively own a farm and hire a farmer to produce the food you would like to eat in the way you would like to see it produced. This means they took full control over the food chain they depend upon. Within the Netherlands this has proven to be a revolutionairy concept. So let's go and have a look to see what the potential for food sovereignty might look like!
How would it feel for you if you could own a farm with several dozens other families? If you would have full knowledge of where your food comes from and who produced it for you?
Curious? You can visit a real lived experiment in exactly what is described above in Boxtel! On the 20th of October we will visit the farm and we will hear the story of Herenboeren Wilhelminapark! We will leave gather at the parking lot next to Radix and leave from there.
In the search for gaining control over knowing where your food comes from this collective took their strategy to a whole new level!
